While Descendo can be useful on its own when used on an airborne enemy, and with its talent unlocked, it can do massive damage around the target, making it a great control, force, and damage spell all in one. Paired with Flipendo, we have Descendo, which is unlocked by completing Professor Onai’s Assignment. It’s not flashy, but it gets the job done, and is a great way of dealing with violet shields when all your other spells are still recharging. It doesn’t seem too special at first, but with the fastest cooldown of any other combat spell in the game, it is the most reliable way to get an enemy airborne, which should always be a priority when possible. You unlock Flipendo by completing Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2. But for our money, Flipendo and Descendo are the spells you should prioritize. You unlock it by completing Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 1.įorce spells are the hardest to recommend in this game, as they’re all extremely useful for specific situations, you learn Accio almost immediately after arriving at Hogwarts in your first charms class, and there’s nothing better than flinging someone off a cliff or into a wall with Depulso. With Glacius’s cooldown being much faster than Arresto Momentum, its debuff to make the enemy take more damage, and its talent upgrade to make it damage all enemies in the area, we recommend prioritizing it over the other control spells. While Levioso is a great early-game spell to get enemies airborne, it becomes drastically less useful once you have Flipendo.
